SAVE THE DATE! AUGUST 27-29, 2015!
Cure AHC is excited to announce that the 4th Symposium on ATP1A3 in Disease will be in the USA with Cure AHC as the host organization in partnership with members from the AHC Association of Iceland, the Italian AHC Association, ENRAH, and researchers from Duke & Columbia Universities. This is THE collaborative gathering of researchers and patient organizations from all around the globe. The series has been a key part of keeping the momentum going in research towards the cure. It will be at the Bethesda DoubleTree Hotel and Convention Center in Washington DC Metro (Bethesda, MD to be precise). The location is very close to the NIH and FDA, and we plan to have participation and interaction from both of these critical partners for the next phases of research. We will also have a FAMILY GATHERING in conjunction with this event. This will be an interactive & more social event designed to facilitate collaborative discussions on how to best care for AHC Champions, driven by the experts- AHC parents ! We also hope to have a vendor area with adaptive equipment, educational materials, and other items AHC families would like to see. We’ll need your input on that of course. Finally, we will also look to organize a donor function in conjunction with this symposium, believing from the experience of other orgs that bringing potential major donors together with families and researchers is highly effective. When potential donors can directly hear from those their generosity will impact, the fundraising result can be tremendous.
